“CrossFit is a lifestyle characterized by safe, effective exercise and sound nutrition. CrossFit can be used to accomplish any goal, from improved health to weight loss to better performance. The program works for everyone—people who are just starting out and people who have trained for years” (CrossFit, 2019).
We view CrossFit as the path to a stronger and healthier life. We believe in the importance of fueling your body properly (nutrition) so that you can perform well for life. So many CrossFit movements are functional movements. We train our body to engage the right muscles to do every day tasks like shoveling snow or carrying a heavy water jug to the office water cooler.
We are proud of the community we have at EverProven and the camaraderie and support felt between members of the gym. We are all here to be healthier, stronger versions of ourselves, and the bonds formed between members because of a shared appreciation for hard work extend beyond the walls of the gym.
WHAT DOES A CLASS LOOK LIKE?
Each class starts off with a low-intensity 6-8 minute warm up. Next, we will have a mobility session to get our muscles and joints activated and ready for our workout. After the mobility we shift to a skill and strength session, and then we finish with the metcon (metabolic conditioning), which is the high-intensity part of the class. These workouts can be anywhere from 3 minutes to 45 minutes. CrossFit is different every single day!
WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
We use boxes, dumbbells, Concept 2 rowers, barbells, kettlebells, jump ropes, weighted balls, and our body weight to safely perform exercises.
