Coach / Manager
In 2014 Crystie discovered CrossFit and EverProven at the same time after researching local Dover gyms and finally building up the nerve to walk in for a “No Sweat Intro”. With the goal of reducing imbalances caused by a lifelong love of competitive swimming she found that and more, including significant performance improvements, after just a few months of workouts. Having coached and competed with U.S. Masters Swimming for the past 10 years she decided to expand her knowledge of CrossFit by completing the CrossFit Level 1 course and begin coaching. Crystie has also completed the USAW Level 1 training. When she is not at the box, or the pool, Crystie enjoys mountain biking and trail running and has occasionally combined them with swimming to compete in off-road triathlon.
Jenn started coming to EverProven in 2020 while looking for another form of fitness to tackle. Jenn earned her Bachelor of Arts: Theatre, Dance & Aerial from UNH and returned back to NH in 2018 from Australia, where she was living and working since 2013! She has over 16 years experience in the movement arts community, specializing in Barre, Pilates, Dance, Aerial, Yoga and Strength Training. Jenn loves the space that EverProven has created and is thrilled to join the team!
Jim & Ker
Jim and Ker are both lifelong athletes that fell in love with Southeast Asia, CrossFit, and what a local CrossFit community has to offer. Over the last few years they’ve had the privilege to build a gym in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Due to Covid and some unforeseen circumstances in Malaysia we have returned to New Hampshire where Ker grew up to spend some time. We have always popped into EverProven when we are visiting the area over the past 5 years or so and are really excited to be spending a few months here. We always strove to build a place similar to EverProven where friends come to work out together, improve on their physical skills, and get the bodies and minds that they want.
Jim holds a CrossFit Level 3, Gymnastics and Weightlifting certificaitons. He is also a Precision Nutrition Level 1 and OPEX CCP Coach. Ker holds a CrossFit Level 2, Precision Nutrition Level 1 and Girls Gone Strong Pre- & Postnatal Coach.
A lifelong ahtlete, Christy has always been active, whether competing on the Army ski team, training with the cycling team, rock climibing, or running. In 2012, while assigned to Germany, she discovered her love for “Functional Fitness” and the community that supported it. Eventually her passion for the sport led her to train and compete as a Masters athlete in the 2018 CrossFit Games. Christy coaches our Legends athletes.
Zachary Moran has recently moved to the seacoast to become a Naturopathic Doctor in Portsmouth, NH. He has been a crossfitter and a coach for over 10 years in Connecticut and Arizona. He received his kinesiology and nutrition degree at Sacred Heart University while competing on the wrestling team. Afterward, he opened Columbia Crossfit in CT where he coached and competed at two Northeast Crossfit regional competitions. He received his ND degree from SCNM in Tempe, AZ. While in medical school, he coached at Crossfit Tempe and competed at two Southwest Crossfit regional competitions. Zach enjoys the crossfit community, coaching, and applying fitness through countless outdoor adventures with his wife, Erica, and dog, Milton. Certifications: Crossfit Level 3, CrossFit Weightlifting Trainer Course, Crossfit Kids Training Course, Crossfit Endurance Course, FMT Mobility Certification.
Coach , Personal Trainer
Sara is a native of NH who re-discovered her fitness passion after turning 40 and discovered her love for competing on stage as a bodybuilder. Sara is a personal trainer, holds all the TRX® Qualifications: STC, GSTC, and is the only Certified AGTC TRX-Blackrank instructor in the seacoast area. She is also a certified USAPL Powerlifting Coach. Sara holds her pro card in the masters’ division of OCB/IFPA natural bodybuilding and continues to be involved as a judge and competitor throughout New England. Sara’s clients range from 5 – 70 years old and believes in the power of movement for your mind, body, and soul at any age. She strives for excellence and brings it into every personal or class session. Her goal is to support and inspire others, and to contribute to the Everproven community!
Coach, Personal Trainer
Coach Royce is really excited to be a part of the growing and thriving community of EVRPRVN. Certified Personal Trainer, Certified USAPL powerlifting Coach and Referee, and a Master Level Stretch therapist, bringing a very special precision and tenacity to the local community. Lifetime athlete and accomplished bodybuilder and powerlifter himself, Coach Royce is actually more well known for his barbell coaching skills, and taking powerlifters of all backgrounds all the way to the Worlds stage. He is also known for his coaching style, which is highly specialized, individualized programming for athletes, and coaching a large number of athletes at once. What he is a little less known for, is that he is certified in functional movement and has exceptional mobility knowledge, and has a ton of experience working with post op clientele after back, hip, knee, and shoulder surgeries.
Christian was a body building enthusiast who developed a curiosity and interest in alternative gym training in early 2007. Desiring new ways to exercise, he discovered Crossfit.com. CrossFit training was difficult, challenged physical ability, mental discipline, and it was measured by functional performance instead of muscle size. Christian began his CrossFit journey by training in his garage using the CrossFit methodology. Eventually, he met Matt, Scimone, Kate, Katie and together they founded EverProven. Christian currently holds the following Certifications; CrossFit Level 2, Risto Sports Soviet System Olympic Weightlifting, IKFF CKT L1, IKFF CKT L2, and IKFF CBT.
Scott is a lifetime athlete who has known the importance of strength training throughout many aspects of his life. Growing up, Scott played hockey and motocross. Years later, he became a Wildland Firefighter for the Granite Mountain Hotshots in Prescott, AZ. It wasn’t until he moved back to NH, that he began to hear about CrossFit. Scott’s very first CrossFit workout was at Everproven in the middle of July 2013. That day, he completed his first Workout of The Day (WOD), the HOTSHOT 19, that he would never forget. That was the first time Scott met Matt and encountered CrossFit! A few years later, Scott found himself coaching and participating in CrossFit classes at Proven Performance Center.
Mary has been a member of the EverProven Community since 2018. Her first workout ever was the Memorial Day Murph and instantly fell in love with CrossFit. Mary grew up dancing competitively as well as performing with her college dance team and eventually teaching dance classes in SC, Ireland, and NH. In 2017, Mary began competing in stand up paddleboard races both locally and nationally. Knowing that she needed to build more strength and stamina she came to EverProven and hasn’t looked back since. Outside of the gym, Mary is a special education teacher, teaches baby dance classes, and makes pottery!
Karen was first introduced to CrossFit.com through her high school track coach around 2004, though a distant memory when she picked it back up in 2011, the intensity of the workouts quickly provided an alternative to competitive sports that had been part of her life from elementary school through college. With a professional career in business analytics but a passion for coaching, Karen pursued her CrossFit Level 1 in 2014. Since she has received her CrossFit Level 2. Having been a ‘skinny runner’ most of her life Karen loves to see others realize the power and strength they never knew they had.
Connor recently joined the EverProven community after moving to the area and in his own words “I LOVE it here! The energy and the support that radiates through this gym is one of a kind.” Connor grew up as a soccer player and continued his career through four years playing for the University of Hartford, while earning a BS in mechanical engineering. In 2019 Connor made the full-time shift into the fitness industry, getting certified as a personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and completing the CrossFit Level 1 course.
Shelley is a lifetime NH native and came to EverProven in the fall of 2018, after many, many conversations with Matt about checking it out. She will tell you that finally taking him up on the offer to do a trial week was a fantastic decision. She comes from an extensive kettlebell background and has enjoyed crossing those movements over to the barbell. Shelley is a Registered Medical Assistant with Wentworth Douglass Hospital and is currently enrolled at SNHU to receive a Bachelor Degree in Psychology with a focus on Addiction and Substance Abuse. She resides in Somersworth with her dog, Ridley.
