What does my Membership Include?
Attendance to scheduled CrossFit classes and Open Gym. (Please note an open gym attendance does count toward attendance on our limited plans) 24/7 Access with Hybrid AF. A Welcome Bag complete with specials deals and discounts. Quarterly goal review meetings to help keep you on track. A free No Snack Intro to Nutrition. Access to our private Facebook community page and community events!
Do I need to be in shape to start CrossFit?
No. You can start CrossFit at any age, and any ability level. You can start CrossFit if you’ve never worked out a day in your life, if you’re a former athlete, and if you’re injured or disabled. There are no limits, as every workout can be modified to your abilities. All you need to do is show up.
How do I get started?
We like all new members to attend a free intro class. You’ll work with one of our coaches to chat about your goals and to learn some CrossFit movements. You’ll also do an introductory workout to understand the style of a CrossFit workout. After an intro, you will complete some one-on-one sessions where the coach will ensure you are ready to safely and confidently transition to group classes or further personal training.
Can I drop in?
Absolutely! If you are CrossFitting at another affiliate feel free to swing by! Drop a note to [email protected] or give us a ring at 603.740.0822. The drop-in fee is $25.
How does 24/7 access work?
Once you have completed the prerequisite amount of classes and paperwork, you will receive a login for a mobile app. This app will allow you to unlock the door and access the gym 24/7.
What if I can’t do the WOD?
All of our workouts can be modified for people of any age and ability. Each day we suggest 3 different levels of the workout but these can be modified further to accommodate all athletes. The ability to scale is what makes CrossFit unique. Experienced and beginners have the ability to workout side-by-side and both athletes benefit.
What about Nutrition?
Nutrition is the foundation of CrossFit. We have partnered with Xplore Nutrition to offer you a unique nutrition coaching experience. Xplore’s coaches will give you a customized plan that is built for your lifestyle and goals. More importantly, they will teach you how to navigate this plan, incorporate the things you love, and teach you how to make good choices in social settings.
How long will it take to see results?
Everyone progresses at different speeds and in different ways. How you progress ultimately depends on how committed and consistent you are. Of course it’s not as simple as show up and workout, there are outside factors to consider as well including: gender, age, health histories, genetics, nutrition, sleep habits, life stress, work and school. Because there is so much at play we highly recommend setting goals and checking in on those goals quarterly with a coach. This will help you see success in all the small steps and make adjustments to your overall plan. Stick to this plan and you will see the success you are hoping for!
What do I need to bring with me?
Just as you would a regular gym, all you really need is yourself! Come dressed in appropriate shoes and clothes to workout in. Bring your water along. There is some CrossFit gear you may come to invest in such as jump ropes, knee sleeves, hand grips, etc… These things are not necessary to perform the workout but many CrossFitters find them useful. If you would like recommendations on these products ask some other members. Everyone loves to talk about their gear!
What is a typical class like?
Each class consists of a dynamic warm-up and mobility session, followed by either a strength movement or skill practice. The class then moves to the Metcon (metabolic conditioning) to finish out the class. Every workout will be scaled to your fitness level, so you get the maximum workout every time
I’m scared/nervous/don’t think I’ll fit in…
We have all been the new person in class. What makes CrossFit unique is the community that forms within each gym. This community welcomes newcomers with open arms and will go out of their way to introduce themselves and make you feel welcome. As mentioned before, all classes are scalable to all fitness abilities and we will never have you do something you feel uncomfortable with. You will walk away feeling challenged, accomplished, and elated that you took the leap and checked us out!
How does the kids area work?
